The residents complained that the shopkeepers have encroached upon the footpath leaving no space for pedestrians to walk. This has been a serious concern for the residents living nearby.
Ashok Ramchandra Narale, chairman of Ganesham society said, “The fitness center in the commercial complex of Ganesham has inadequate parking. The people visiting the center often park on the footpath. This leaves no space for us to walk.”
The residents plan to complain about this footpath parking to Traffic police too.
Aarti Jondhale, a resident of Ganesham society.phase 2 told Pune Pulse that many shops have encroached on the footpaths causing inconvenience to the residents. PCMC must remove these and provide ample space for people to walk.
