Citizens ‘Pledge to Vote’


An initiative to create awareness on voting is taken by the registrar office. In which they are visiting various societies and are gathering people making them aware for voting and are asking them to take Oath for voting.

This directive is received by the registrar office to create awareness in public on voting.

“It’s a good initiative. It will create awareness somehow in people who are not voting. In my society around 70 – 80 people were present who took Oath.” Said Kiran Vadgama Chairman Palash CHS

“This event is really appreciated and is necessary in societies as many people don’t go for voting, they just enjoy the holiday. To create awareness in residents, it’s a good initiative. Around 90-95 people were present for the event” Said Sudan Chavhan Chairman of Vardhman residency

“To create importance among people regarding voting the initiative is taken by Pune. We are taking this program with many organisations and are getting good response. Under our election campaign Sub-registrar office, Sub-registrar cooperative organisation Pune-3 and District Sub-registrar Pune city with coordination of this we are taking this awareness campaign for 2019. For previous elections also we did this such campaign. And get good response.” Said Dinanath Chaudhary cooperative officer, sub-registrar office pune-3.
