New bridge to come up on Mula river


New bridge named as Ramjee Vitthal Shinde on Mula River that connects PCMC to Pune city was inaugurated in Aundh. This bridge will solve the long pending traffic congestion issue in Aundh gaon

Residents of Aundh gaon can drive easily without traffic congestion near Rajiv Gandhi Bridge. This new bridge named as Ramjee Vitthal Shinde Bridge will solve the problem of traffic congestion from Mahadjee Shinde road to Sangvi. This new bridge would cost 29.94 crore rupees out of which Municipal Corporation of Pimpri-Chinchwad has shared 18.18 crore rupees and remaining cost would be shared by PMC. The length of this bridge is 103 metre and width is 22 metre.

“We will complete the construction of this bridge in two years. This bridge will have separate pedestrian way and cycle track also. This bridge will be an effective solution to avoid traffic congestion from Mahadjee Shinde road to Sangvi. Citizens can reach in PCMC area in shortest time”, said Narendra Salunkhe, chief engineer of the project.

Nayan Singh, resident of Siddharth Nagar in Aundh gaon said that, “We have been demanding effective solution for the bottle neck situation in peak hours in from Mahadjee Shinde road to Aundh gaon. Finally, we can drive easily without facing long traffic queue. It’s good that the new bridge will have the facility of cycle track and pedestrian way. It will be useful for senior citizens and school children.”

Local Corporator Archana Musale, Advocate Madhukar Musale, Sanjeevan Aarsud Vice chancellor of Spicer University, Aasha Gokhale, Lakshman Waghmare, Junior Engineer Ashok Sagade and local residents were present on this occasion.
