Deepak Tijori reveals shocking incident involving Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh

In a recent interview, popular 90s Bollywood actor Deepak Tijori made a startling revelation about an incident involving Saif Ali Khan’s ex-wife, actress Amrita Singh. Tijori recounted an episode from 1993 concerning his film “Pehla Nasha,” directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, where Saif was approached for a cameo appearance.

According to Tijori, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Saif Ali Khan were approached to play roles as actors attending a premiere within the film. However, when Saif allegedly informed Amrita Singh about his part, she reportedly objected to the idea.

“Saif was getting ready, this was his version, he was getting ready at home. His then-wife, Amrita, asked him, ‘What are you doing, where are you going?’ He said, ‘I am going for a premiere, I am going for a shoot, so it’s Deepak’s premiere and I am going to be a part of it.’ So she was like, ‘Really? How can you do this? We never did all these things, you know. Who does this?’ It was a moment that was a shock to me,” recounted Tijori.

Despite the objection, Saif proceeded to the shoot and filmed his cameo with Saif and Aamir. Tijori reflected that such acts of support were apparently uncommon in the early 1990s. He noted a shift in the industry, where Bollywood stars once attended events to demonstrate solidarity, but this is no longer the case.

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh tied the knot in 1991 and divorced in 2004. They continue to co-parent their children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.

Meanwhile, Tijori is gearing up for his directorial debut with “Tipppsy.” 

Actress Pooja Bhatt, Tijori’s co-star from “Pehla Nasha” and “Sadak,” extended her best wishes to him on Instagram. Bhatt expressed her pride in Tijori’s journey and pledged her support for his new venture.
