In a significant development for Pune’s public transport, the Pune Metro Rail Project, in collaboration with PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd.), is set to introduce a feeder bus service. This service aims to enhance connectivity for commuters traveling from Ramwadi Metro Station to key destinations including WTC, Gera Commerzone Junction, and Eon IT Park along the Kharadi route.

Scheduled to commence from June 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM, this initiative marks a pivotal step towards improving last-mile connectivity in Pune’s rapidly expanding urban landscape. The feeder buses will operate daily, facilitating seamless travel for passengers from the metro station to prominent business and IT hubs in the city.

The launch event will take place at the main entrance of Eon IT Park Phase – 1, underscoring the strategic importance of this service in supporting local commuting needs and reducing traffic congestion. This integration between Pune Metro and PMPML underscores their commitment to providing efficient and sustainable public transport solutions.

The feeder bus service is poised to benefit a wide spectrum of commuters, including professionals, students, and residents alike, by offering a convenient and reliable mode of transport. With frequent departures and modern amenities onboard, these buses aim to complement the efficiency of the Pune Metro system, thereby encouraging more people to opt for public transportation.

This initiative aligns with Pune’s vision for comprehensive urban mobility solutions, leveraging modern infrastructure and collaborative efforts between public and private entities. As Pune continues to grow as a vibrant economic hub, initiatives like the feeder bus service play a crucial role in enhancing accessibility and connectivity across the city.
