Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22nd to raise awareness about environmental protection and promote sustainability.

It was first celebrated in 1970 and is now observed globally with various activities such as tree planting, clean-up campaigns, and educational initiatives. Earth Day aims to inspire people to take action to protect the planet and its natural resources for future generations.

Google’s Earth Day doodle celebrates the planet’s beauty and showcases areas where progress has been made towards sustainability.

The doodle features aerial photographs of various locations worldwide, highlighting efforts to preserve natural beauty, biodiversity, and resources.

Each letter in the Google logo represents a different location:

– O represents Scorpion Reef National Park in Mexico, a UNESCO biosphere reserve protecting coral reefs and endangered species.

– O represents Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland, preserving Europe’s largest glacier and unique volcanic landscapes.
