Ved Lahoti made history thanks to his self-assurance. Having been a child, he would bring his grandfather to school to confront the teachers if he received a low grade. This mindset endures. He received a score of 355, up from 352, in the 2024 all-India JEE (Advanced). Doubting himself on two points, Ved argued his points. Following an IIT review, one was marked as correct, earning him three extra points.

Ved Lahoti’s confidence earned him a spot in the record books. When he was younger, he used to bring his grandfather to school and confront the teachers if he didn’t do well in any subject. This mindset persists. The all-India JEE (Advanced) champion, who received 355 points in the 2024 exam, had originally received 352, but he was positive he couldn’t have answered two questions incorrectly after IITs published the preliminary answer key.

He contested the two questions, and IITs adjusted his score by three points after recognising that one of the answers was accurate in light of the comments. Lahoti was adamant on breaking the JEE (advanced) score, he expressed. Lahoti asserts that he thinks “nothing is impossible” and that he thinks everything can be rationally explained. He believes that everything is achievable if you are dedicated enough and that life should have a purpose, and it should be significant. He added that efforts after this should likewise be at the same calibre.

“Rely on the effort you’ve put in. You will undoubtedly succeed if your efforts were in line with the goal. Lahoti, who had his sights set on JEE (A) seven years ago and intends to enrol in the computer science stream at IIT Bombay, states that in order to study, one must practise as much as possible.

Lahoti’s laser-like focus helped him succeed, but Mulund native Dhruv Doshi, who achieved an all-India rank of 9 and helped Mumbai return to the top 10 after three years, is a man who believes in living each day as it comes. He claims that up until his Class X exams, he was hesitant about getting ready for JEE (A). Doshi, who is the son of a dentist and an anesthesiologist, is hoping to get into IIT Bombay’s computer science department now that he is among the top scorers. He attended the integrated coaching Rahul International School, where he completed his CBSE Class XII examinations this year with a 96.6% score.
