Sunshine Villas in Rahatani inaugurates composting project


Sunshine Villas society has over 121 row houses where the waste composting machine of 1 quintal tonnes capacity was inaugurated at the hands of local corporator Shatrughan Kate and Nirmala Kute.

The programme was attended by Kakasaheb Sanap, general secretary, technical aspects were looked after by Pravin Tiwari, while Rajesh Gaikwad took care of its operations, other members Bhaskar Shejwal, Mahesh  Sawant and Pravin Balan, chairman of the society attended the programme. 

Local corporator Shatrughan Kate in his speech addressing the residents said, "This is one step towards making 'Pimple Saudgar Rahatani Garbage Free. I am happy that residents are contributing to the mission of managing wet and dry waste and helping us all to conserve nature."

Pravin Balan, chairman of the society said, "This is a customised project taken up by the society. We have dug up seven pits and the capacity to treat waste is about 1 quintal." The society also has solar panels installed and rain water harvesting done as other enviornment friendly initiatives.
