Ahead of the Lo Sabha elections, Team WACO (Wagholi Against Corruption) organized a program where the locals voiced their displeasure with Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil. The event was held on April 21 at Shreyash Garden Mangal Karyalaya in Wagholi.

Residents of Wagholi expressed their dissatisfaction, agitation, and ongoing disappointment about providing basic facilities in a social media post shared by WACO’s official account.

The post contained information on the open conference and stated in bold letters, “No water, No road = No tax, No vote.”

It is worth to note that the residents, dissatisfied with ongoing local problems and feeling abandoned by their elected officials, called for proof of the candidates’ work. The following is a quick summary of the primary issues raised during the meeting: Main roads, internal roads, DP roads, property taxes, water accessibility, the absence of a government hospital, the constant increase in school fees and future plans for Wagholi.

Wagholikars expressed unhappiness with their leaders and felt that a better representation is necessary. They have asked candidates to demonstrate their worthiness and state their agendas during the campaign.

According to WACO, the conference’s agenda included a thorough assessment and evaluation of the candidate in advance of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to the team, many are worried and perplexed about why they have to vote for the candidate. The subject boldly expressed, “Why should Wagholikars choose you to be their M.P.? We would like you to demonstrate your value towards us.”
