Maha Congress Chief Nana Patole Inspected ‘Cracks’ On Navi Mumbai’s Atal Setu and warned about the lives of people in danger. He visited the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Seva Atal Setu in Navi Mumbai to inspect cracks that have appeared on the bridge. The Atal Setu, inaugurated in January by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, spans 21.8 km, with 16.5 km over the sea, making it India’s longest sea bridge. It facilitates the movement of over 70,000 vehicles daily.

Patole expressed grave concerns, stating, “The cracks denote that the lives of people are in danger.”

This inspection follows the recent collapse of a newly constructed bridge in Araria district, leading to the suspension of three engineers from Bihar’s rural works department.

Patole has recently been in the spotlight due to a separate controversy involving a video showing a man, allegedly a Congress worker, washing Patole’s feet while he sat in a car. The incident occurred in Akola district amid muddy conditions following rain. Patole clarified that the worker was merely helping him clean his feet in the absence of a tap and dismissed the controversy as needless. He also pointed out that other party workers were receiving similar treatment, which was not highlighted.

BJP Mumbai’s X handle accused the Congress of insulting its workers. BJP spokesperson Shezad Poonawalla called the incident evidence of the Congress’s “feudal” mindset, demanding apologies.
