Meeting of Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee Concluded At Pune

A meeting of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee of Pune Division was held on 21.6.2024 at the Divisional Railway Manager office.  Divisional Railway Manager Smt. Indu Dubey presided over the meeting.  Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirve co-ordinate the meeting.  The members present in the meeting gave suggestions regarding the facilities and problems of the passengers and discussed them with railway administration.  Divisional Railway Manager Smt. Indu Dubey assured to find appropriate solution to the issues.

Shri Ranjit Rupchad Shrigod, Shri Shivnath Biyani,  Shri Gopal Ghanshyamdas Tiwari, Shri Appasaheb Shinde, Vinit Vilas Patil, Shri Nikhil Kachi, Shri Dilip Batwal, Shri Suresh Mane, Shri Eknath R. Gondkar, Shri Vikas Deshpande, Shri Rahul Mutha, Shri Rohit Rajesh Patil, Shri Ajit Chowgule, Shri Vijay Anandrao Chavan and Shri Prashant Rasiklal Munot DRUCC members were present in the meeting.

 Addressing the meeting, Divisional Railway Manager Smt. Indu Dubey gave detailed information about various works going on for passenger facilities, infrastructure works, development  works activities on Pune Division.  She said that proper steps are being taken for safe and timely running of railways, proper maintenance of railway tracks, strengthening of signal system etc.  Pune Railway Administration is committed to provide the best services to it’s passengers.  She expressed for members to make meaningful efforts and co-operate for the development of railways, expansion of passenger facilities and increase in revenue.

 The members present in the meeting raised various issues such as to increase in stoppage of mail/express at Belapur station,  Stoppage of Train No. 11050/11049 Kolhapur- Ahmedabad Express & 16533/16534 Jodhpur  Express at Karad,   Mahalaxmi Express & Haripriya Express to be  converted  to LHB rake, Extension of Sahyadri Express upto Mumbai, To increase general coaches for Koyna express, To start new train from Pune to Mumbai between 9 am to 3 pm, To start Pune to Daund Memu train & EMU service, Shifting of Belapur Goods Shed, To start Shegaon- Sainagar Shirdi- Pandharpur DEMU,  DEMU should be changed from 1400 HP to 1600 with extra coaches to Kolhapur & Sangli, Extension of Pune-Bikaner upto Kolhapur, Increase of platform height  at Begdewadi, Dehu Road & other small stations, Stoppage of Hazrat Nizamuddin – Goa, Kolhapur – Ahmedabad, Kolhapur – Mumbai, Dadar – Mysore Sharawati, Dadar – Puducherry Express etc. at Lonand, installation of sufficient number of signages at various stations, facility of lift and escalator, CCTV, security, solution to parking issue, developing passenger facilities, encroachment free railway premises etc.
