22 April 2024 – The municipal corporation has developed an application called ‘PCMC DAKSH’ to facilitate the provision of all amenities to the residents in the city’s parks by the municipal administration. Consequently, city parks were inspected by the Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil.

By offering them greater amenities, the Municipal Corporation’s Parks Department primarily seeks to raise the standard of living for Pimpri Chinchwad city’s residents.

The application tracks every task completed in the park and assigns daily tasks to the staff. As a result, the contractor will face daily fines if they fail to complete the task.

The parks that fall under the jurisdiction of the D Regional Office are Shaheed Ashok Kamthe Udyan, Prabhakar Sathe Udyan (Pimple Nilakh), and Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Udyan (Wakad). The inspection was conducted with the assistance of the Architecture and Parks Department staff, Deputy Commissioner Ravikiran Ghodke, and Assistant Superintendent of Parks Rajesh Vasave. This time, Additional Commissioner Jambhale Patil inspected the parks and issued directives for several repairs.

Instructions provided – Along with ensuring that there is space for guests to park in front of the gate, the Additional Commissioner needs to focus on planting bamboo trees and aromatic plants across the open gym, as well as plenty of trees along the walkway and the boundary wall. Similarly, parks should be kept clean, trees of the same type should be planted in the park, and repairs and maintenance should be done to not disturb or trouble the locals.

The city’s parks are a source of great services that the municipality works hard to provide its residents. The construction at the park will be monitored via the PCMC Daksh application, and contractors and personnel shouldn’t skip on their work, said Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Additional Commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Information and Public Relations Department. source: pdf attached
