Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to conduct his first election rally for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Nashik region. This event will take place on May 6, at 5 pm, in Savedi, a village near Ahmednagar town. The rally aims to support BJP candidates in the Ahmednagar and Shirdi constituencies. To avoid the daytime heat, the event has been scheduled for the evening.

Senior office-bearers from the BJP Ahmednagar city unit have confirmed these details. The Ahmednagar constituency will see the current MP, Dr. Sujay Vikhe Patil of BJP, vying to retain his seat. In contrast, the opposition, NCP (SCP), has nominated Nilesh Lanke. Meanwhile, in Shirdi, the contest will be between the incumbent MP, Sadashiv Lokhande of Shiv Sena, and Bhausaheb Wakchaure of Shiv Sena (UBT).

The BJP’s central committee has already visited Savedi to oversee the final preparations for the rally. In related news, other Lok Sabha constituencies like Bangalore Central and Parbhani are also gearing up for their elections. Bangalore Central saw voting on April 26, with results expected on June 4. The Shiv Sena (UBT) has been campaigning on a platform that includes GST reform and increasing women’s representation in government jobs, among other issues.

This rally represents a significant effort by the BJP to solidify its presence and support in key constituencies ahead of the elections.
