Pune: A 3.44 am in the morning today, a alcoholic tanker from Rajaram Bapu Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana from Sangli was travelling to Vasai Virar overturned near hotel Trupti near Khed Shivapur toll Naka on Pune Bengaluru highway. As soon as the information was received at the PMRDA fire station in Nanded City, the fire department personnel rushed to the spot. The vehicle driver and other associate were taken to the nearby hospital for medical assistance. The PMRDA fire department personnel DFO Sujit Patil, drivers Rathod, firemen Shubham Mali, Salunkhe and Maaynale attended the call. The truck was removed from the spot with the help of a crane and road was opened for vehicular traffic.

The tanker, laden with alcohol, toppled over near the Khed Shivapur toll plaza, leading to a large-scale traffic congestion along the route. Emergency responders, including four cranes, have been deployed to the scene to assist in the removal of the overturned tanker.
Efforts are currently underway to clear the tanker from the roadway and alleviate the traffic congestion that has ensued as a result of the accident. However, the operation is expected to take some time, leading to considerable delays for motorists traveling along the affected route.
The disruption has particularly impacted traffic heading towards Satara and Sangli, with queues of vehicles stretching up to 10 to 12 kilometers along the route. Commuters are advised to exercise caution and seek alternative routes where possible until the situation is resolved.
Authorities are working diligently to address the situation and restore normal traffic flow in the area as soon as possible.
