In a bid to address the concerns and grief of the bereaved families, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met with Omprakash Awadhiya and Suresh Koshta, the parents of Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta respectively, who tragically lost their lives in the Pune Porsche hit-and-run incident.

During the meeting at his Varsha residence, Chief Minister Shinde offered his condolences and assured the families that the case would be fast-tracked to ensure strict action against the culprits. He acknowledged the unfortunate incident and emphasized that although the minor accused has been released, the case has been reopened to ensure that all those guilty are brought to justice.

“We fully understand the immense grief caused by the sudden loss of children. Therefore, the government has decided to provide ₹10 lakh each to the families of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund,” said Shinde. This financial aid aims to support the families in their time of need and is a special measure from the Chief Minister’s office.

Following the tragic incident, Chief Minister Shinde instructed Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar to take stringent action against the culprits without bias. This directive has led to a swift investigation and the arrest of several individuals involved in the case.

The families expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Shinde for his support and the Maharashtra government’s prompt actions. They appreciated the efforts to fast-track the case and bring justice for their children after the unfortunate incident.
