The ceremony celebrated excellence in various categories, including the best business in parcel services, the best performance in postal life insurance, the highest number of accounts opened in the post office savings bank, outstanding productivity in community engagement, the most Aadhar updates, and the creation of child Aadhar cards. Two rotating trophies were awarded to divisions that demonstrated exceptional performance in the financial year 2023-24, with Pune City West and Shrirampur divisions receiving these honors.

During the event, special informational booklets were unveiled for significant stakeholders such as e-commerce companies, insurance firms, exporters, and large corporate clients. These booklets provide comprehensive details about the postal department’s speed post and parcel services, both domestically and internationally. Pune Region Postmaster General, Shri Ramchandra Jayabhaye, encouraged customers to take advantage of these services and partner with the postal department to grow their businesses.

Postmaster General Ramchandra Jayabhaye congratulated all divisions and employees for their excellent performance and expressed confidence that continuous efforts would establish the Pune region as a leader in all areas. He urged employees to ensure that customers receive detailed information about all services and products to strengthen public trust in the postal department. The postal department is now prepared to face the digital age by adopting online services and digital transactions. Assurances were given that services such as the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, India Post Payments Bank, and Aadhar centers would be efficiently provided through the post office.

Honorable Kishan Kumar Sharma, Chief Postmaster General of Maharashtra Circle, praised all award recipients and acknowledged the crucial role of postmen and branch postmasters. He described them as brand ambassadors who ensure the postal department’s services reach every corner. Sharma emphasized that Pune Region consistently achieves new revenue milestones by implementing innovative ideas and that every postal employee must strive to extend services to all citizens professionally.
