The residents of Wagholi have taken a bold step ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, questioning the worthiness of both sitting MP Dr. Amol Kolhe and Shirur candidate Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil. Frustrated by the persisting issues plaguing their neighborhood and the apparent lack of action from elected representatives, the residents penned letters to the candidates, demanding accountability and evidence of their contributions to the community.

In the letter addressed to Dr. Amol Kolhe, the residents acknowledged his fame and success as an actor but expressed disappointment in the absence of tangible benefits for Wagholi. They urged Kolhe to outline the work he has done for the area to enable informed voting decisions in the upcoming elections.

A programme has been organised by the Team WACO (Wagholi Against Corruption) on April 21, 2024 starting from 6 PM at Shreyash Garden Mangal Karyalaya, Wagholi where residents of the area can question the MP’s to examine MP candidates before the election. 

Similarly, in the letter directed to Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, residents highlighted the longstanding issues faced by Wagholi, including inadequate road infrastructure and water supply challenges. They underscored the need for a better alternative in representation, emphasizing the dissatisfaction prevailing among Wagholikars.

Residents, and TEAM WACO led by Anil Kumar Mishra have been voicing their  concerns over the deteriorating road conditions, lack of proper water supply, and ineffective traffic management. They called for action from both candidates to address these pressing issues and ensure the well-being of Wagholi residents.

With the 2024 Lok Sabha elections looming, the residents of Wagholi have made it clear that they expect their elected representatives to prioritize their needs and deliver meaningful solutions. They have urged Dr. Amol Kolhe and Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil to engage with citizens, present their plans, and demonstrate their commitment to addressing the challenges faced by Wagholi.
