Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s Debut Film ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ Sees Promising Rise in Box Office Collections

Do Aur Do Pyaar started a little slow at the box office. However, since its release on April 19, the Shirsha Guha directorial has improved and crossed the Rs 2 crore mark

Do Aur Do Pyaar, a drama romance film helmed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta and starring prominent actors like Vidya Balan, Ileana D’Cruz, Pratik Gandhi, and Sendhil Ramamurthy arrived in theatres on April 19. It didn’t start off too strong, but it picked up a bit on the second day and improved a tad more on the third day.

On its third day in theaters, April 21, “Do Aur Do Pyaar” saw a notable rise, crossing the Rs 1 crore mark. The film’s Hindi occupancy for morning shows stood at 8.21%, followed by 16.75% for afternoon shows, and 20.63% for evening shows. In terms of earnings, the film garnered Rs 0.55 crore on its opening day, April 19, followed by Rs 0.95 crore on April 20, and a further increase to Rs 1.15 crore on April 21. Cumulatively, the film has now amassed Rs 2.49 crore in total earnings.

Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s directorial debut “Do Aur Do Pyaar” found itself sharing the release date with Ekta Kapoor’s much-anticipated “Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2.”
