Two term MP Shrirang Barne Holds Assets Worth 132 Crore

On Monday, while both Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were present, Shrirang Barne declared his nomination as Mahayuti candidate for the Shinde faction of Shiv Sena.
Recently, it has come to light that the matric pass candidate is actually a billionaire. His properties are worth Rs. 132 Crores, 23 lakh, 91 thousand and 631. His assets were revealed in an affidavit he turned in, along with his election application, showing a growth of Rs. 29 crore, 42 lakhs, 81 thousand and 497 through the last five years.
Barne finished his 10th grade a mere two years ago in March 2022. During last year’s nomination, the Barne family’s assets were valued at Rs. 102 Crore, 81 Lakhs and 10 thousand. Barne’s share of the assets comprised Rs. 83 Crores, 17 lakhs and 46 thousand while his wife’s were Rs. 19 crore and 63 lakh. By this year his possessions have risen to around 132 crores. His movable and immovable assets are valued at Rs. 106 crores and 55 lakhs and his wife’s are valued at Rs. 25 crores and 68 lakhs.
Both their deposits are collectively 38 lakhs, of which Barne holds Rs. 26 lakhs and his wife holds Rs. 12 lakhs. Occupationally, they indulge in agriculture, building and brick manufacturing. Additionally they have invested in savings deposits, term deposits, insurance policies, shares and share capital in multiple banks. Barne has also lent money to 6 individuals.
A Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Fortuner are part of his possessions. Other possessions include a diamond ring worth 11 lakh 55 thousand, gold weighing 470 grams, valued at Rs. 32 lakh 50 thousand. He owns a Wembley & Scott revolver costing 35 thousand. His wife has 51 lakh 743 grams of gold and earrings valued at Rs. 5 lakh 50 thousand.
His vehicular assets are worth Rs. 44 lakh, on top of which he has a loan of Rs. 85 lakh together with 41 lakh from numerous institutions.
Barne possesses agricultural land in three locations in Maval Taluka and Mulshi Taluka. Locations for his non agricultural land are- Tathawade, Charholi and Thergaon, accompanying four commercial and three residential buildings in Thergaon.
