Yadav’s post garnered significant attention, prompting Uber to reach out to him and confirm that action had been taken against the driver.
Yadav detailed how his wife faced a demand for an additional Rs 200 after covering just 1 km in the Uber ride. Despite repeatedly pressing the SOS button for help, Uber did not respond or address the situation promptly.Â

Frustrated by Uber’s initial response, which focused on confirming the cash payment to the driver, Yadav stressed that the issue was not merely about the money but about ensuring passenger safety. In a subsequent update, Yadav revealed Uber’s assertion that the SOS button was a third-party feature not managed directly by Uber.
In a positive turn, Yadav shared that Uber had ultimately terminated the driver’s account due to misconduct. He expressed relief in knowing that the driver would no longer be associated with Uber, ensuring the safety of future passengers.
