Pune, June 22: The Wama Women’s Club proudly announces the inauguration of its new chapter, dedicated to fostering empowerment and solidarity among women in Pune. This significant event marks a pivotal moment in the community’s commitment to advancing women’s rights and promoting leadership.

The inauguration ceremony, held on June 22 at Baantara Bhavan in Baner, was attended by esteemed community members, local leaders, and supporters of gender equality. The event featured inspiring speeches highlighting the club’s mission to provide a platform for women to connect, collaborate, and effect positive change.

Social worker Jyoti Balwadkar, Honorary Correspondent Sushmatai Nimhan, Honorary Councilor Rohini Chimte, ward president Sunita Padale, social worker Neeta Javalkar, and journalist Shital Berge inaugurated the Wama Women’s Club by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Poonam Vishal Vidhate, social worker and founder of the Wama Women’s Club, stated, “The inauguration ceremony also highlighted the club’s commitment to addressing pressing issues affecting women today, such as gender equality, education, health, and economic empowerment. By advocating for policies and initiatives that promote women’s rights, the club aims to make a lasting impact on our community.”

Anuradha Oak, Secretary of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Teachers, and Kavita Chaoudhary, ENT Specialist and President of the Baner-Balewadi Doctors Association, honored the occasion with their presence. Vaishali Darde, Senior Manager at Bank of Baroda, also attended the inauguration.
