Pune, Wakad: Early this morning, minors vandalized vehicles with a koyta in Ekta Colony, near the Wakad Police Station, in an apparent attempt to instill fear in the Pimpri Chinchwad area.
This incident reflects a troubling trend in Pune, where crimes meant to spread terror are becoming more frequent. Just days ago, six individuals fired shots at four locations to create fear in Talegaon Dabhade.
In the latest incident, several vehicles parked along the roadside in Ekta Colony were targeted. One boy broke vehicle windows with a koyta while another filmed the act, and the perpetrators posted the videos on social media to spread fear. Around five to six vehicles were vandalized in total.
The vandalism occurred at approximately 2 AM. The minors involved not only damaged vehicles but also threatened those who attempted to intervene. Two minors have been detained, and there may be additional individuals involved. The complainant has approached the police station, and a case will soon be registered against the minors.
