In response to recent complaints regarding overcrowding on trains and passengers being unable to travel comfortably despite having confirmed tickets, the Railway Ministry has stepped up efforts to address the issue.

Amidst concerns raised on social media, the ministry has urged users not to share misleading videos that could tarnish the image of the Railways.

One such incident involved a woman claiming that a passenger with confirmed 3-tier AC tickets for the Kaifiyat Express was unable to board the train due to overcrowding. According to her, the frustrated passenger resorted to stone pelting, resulting in the breaking of one of the coach’s glass windows.

However, in a statement addressing the matter, the Railway Ministry stated that based on internal investigations, no such incident of window-breaking was reported. They cautioned against sharing old and misleading videos that could propagate false narratives.

Furthermore, the ministry emphasized its commitment to ensuring a smooth journey for passengers, highlighting the deployment of staff for security and ticket checking at various stations to facilitate the movement of passengers. Despite the challenges posed by overcrowding, railway authorities are dedicated to maintaining safety and comfort for travellers.
