Weather Update: Thunder and Lightning Expected in Pune, IMD Issues Yellow Alert
Pune is anticipated to witness thunder and lightning activity without significant rainfall on Wednesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
A cyclonic circulation over south Marathwada and adjoining west Vidarbha, along with a trough extending from south Chhattisgarh to south Kerala, is influencing the weather patterns.
The IMD bulletin warns of isolated light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds ranging from 30-50 kmph over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on April 24 (Wednesday). A yellow warning has been issued for these regions until Wednesday.

Additionally, the Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai predicts isolated rainfall in south Konkan and Goa, north and south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, east, and west Vidarbha until Saturday.
There is expected to be a gradual increase in maximum temperatures by 3-4°C over interior Maharashtra in the next five days. Moreover, a rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C is forecasted in Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada starting Wednesday.
