Airtel has announced that it will raise mobile tariff rates starting July 3. With the increased tariff the company aims to sustain business profitability and invest in better technology infrastructure. 

The telecom giant stated that maintaining an Average Revenue per User (ARPU) above Rs 300 is crucial for ensuring a financially healthy business model. This move is part of Airtel’s strategy to enhance network technology and spectrum availability.

Here are some plans that have changed:

Rs 199 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 179, this plan now costs Rs 199. It includes 2GB of data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

Rs 509 Plan: Earlier at Rs 455, this plan now costs Rs 509. It offers 6GB of data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days.

Rs 1999 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 1799, this plan now costs Rs 1999. It includes 24GB of data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 365 days.

Rs 299 Plan: Earlier at Rs 265, this plan now costs Rs 299. It offers 1GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

Rs 349 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 299, this plan now costs Rs 349. It includes 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

Rs 409 Plan: Earlier at Rs 359, this plan now costs Rs 409. It offers 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

Rs 449 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 399, this plan now costs Rs 449. It includes 3GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

Rs 579 Plan: Earlier at Rs 479, this plan now costs Rs 579. It offers 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 56 days.

Rs 649 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 549, this plan now costs Rs 649. It includes 2GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 56 days.

Rs 859 Plan: Earlier at Rs 719, this plan now costs Rs 859. It offers 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days.

Rs 979 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 839, this plan now costs Rs 979. It includes 2GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days.

Rs 3599 Plan: Earlier at Rs 2999, this plan now costs Rs 3599. It offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 365 days.

Rs 22 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 19, this plan now costs Rs 22. It includes 1GB of additional data for 1 day.

Rs 33 Plan: Earlier at Rs 29, this plan now costs Rs 33. It offers 2GB of additional data for 1 day.

Rs 77 Plan: Previously priced at Rs 65, this plan now costs Rs 77. It includes 4GB of additional data for the validity of the base plan

Rs 449 Plan: This plan offers 40GB of data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and an Xstream Premium subscription.

Rs 549 Plan: It includes 75GB of data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, Xstream Premium, Disney+Hotstar for 12 months, and Amazon Prime for 6 months.

Rs 699 Plan: For families, this plan includes 105 GB of data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, Xstream Premium, Disney+Hotstar for 12 months, Amazon Prime for 6 months, and Wynk Premium for 2 connections.

Rs 999 Plan: For larger families, this plan offers 190 GB of data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, Xstream Premium, Disney+Hotstar for 12 months, and Amazon Prime for 4 connections.

These new tariffs apply to all circles, including Bharti Hexacom Ltd. The revised prices will be available on Airtel’s official website starting July 3, 2024.

The price hike, characterized as modest by Airtel, translates to an increase of less than 70 paise per day for entry-level plans. Plans are designed to minimize the impact on budget-conscious customers. Similar adjustments have been recently implemented by Reliance Jio, reflecting broader industry trends towards financial sustainability. It also aims at enhanced service offerings.
