Drunk driver hits three people in Nagpur; infant critical

A woman, her son, and a three-month-old baby were injured on Friday night when a car hit them in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The driver was reportedly drunk, and police found liquor bottles in his car.

This incident happened just days after a 17-year-old drunk driver in Pune killed two people by crashing into their bike while driving a ₹2.5 crore Porsche sports car.

The accident occurred near Zenda Chowk in the crowded Mahal area of Nagpur. Police said the driver and his two friends were drinking in the car when they hit the family.

All three injured people are now in the hospital. The baby is in critical condition.

After the accident, the three men in the car tried to run away. However, locals chased them down. One man was caught and beaten up by the crowd before being handed over to the police. The angry crowd also broke the car’s windows.

The police have arrested the driver and are questioning him.
