Jasprit Bumrah leads India to victory against Pakistan

“When it’s bat versus bat, I switch off the TV,” Bumrah cheekily remarked, enjoying the newfound appreciation for India’s bowling unit. India needed a collective effort to defend a modest total, but Bumrah set the tone early on.

Pakistan had a strong start, but Bumrah’s brilliance shone through. He took three wickets for just 14 runs, earning him his second consecutive Player of the Match award. His precise bowling kept the Pakistani batters in check, forcing them into errors.

Bumrah’s first big moment came when he dismissed Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam, who edged a delivery to Suryakumar Yadav at slip. Later, Bumrah returned to take the crucial wicket of Mohammad Rizwan, turning the game in India’s favour.

With Pakistan needing 21 runs off the last two overs, Bumrah bowled the 19th over, conceding only three runs and dismissing Iftikhar Ahmed. He left Arshdeep Singh to defend 18 runs in the final over, which proved too difficult for Pakistan.
