The results for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2024 were declared today, June 9, by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. Candidates who appeared for the exam on May 26 can now check their results and download the final answer key from the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

A total of 1,80,200 candidates appeared for both papers 1 and 2 of JEE Advanced 2024. Out of these, 48,248 candidates have qualified, including 7,964 female candidates.

Ved Lahoti from the IIT Delhi zone topped the Common Rank List (CRL) with a score of 355 out of 360 marks. Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel from the IIT Bombay zone is the top-ranked female candidate with a CRL rank of 7 and a score of 332 out of 360 marks.

Students who have qualified JEE Advanced will be eligible to register for counseling by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) at josaa.nic.in. The JEE Advanced 2024 exam consisted of two papers, each with three sections: physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

The exam featured multiple-choice questions (MCQs), multiple-select questions (MSQs), and numerical questions. If a question was dropped from the paper, all candidates were awarded full marks for that question, regardless of whether they attempted it.

To access their results, candidates will need their application number and date of birth. The release of the final answer key along with the results provides clarity and transparency in the evaluation process.

JEE Advanced Result 2024 : Criteria for inclusion in the rank list

The aggregate marks will be calculated as the sum of the marks obtained in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Candidates have to satisfy the subject-wise as well as the aggregate qualifying marks to be included in a rank list.

Maximum aggregate marks: 360 (180 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Maximum marks in Mathematics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Maximum marks in Physics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

Maximum marks in Chemistry: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

The organising institute has also announced the qualifying marks to be considered for admission.
