Unlike other national parks such as Bandhavgarh, Ranthambore and Kanha, which primarily house tigers, Jim Corbett National Park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including a significant population of Bengal tigers. The park’s vast expanses provide ample opportunities for visitors to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, making it one of the best places in India for tiger sightings.
In Indian culture, tigers hold a profound significance, symbolising majesty, strength and beauty. Revered for centuries, tigers have been associated with courage and gallantry, with Hindu mythology depicting them as the conveyance of Goddess Durga, further cementing their importance in the country’s cultural heritage.
