Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut was reportedly slapped by a woman personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Chandigarh airport on Thursday. The incident occurred during a security check when the MP-elected from Mandi refused to place her phone in the tray, leading to a confrontation.

According to sources, Ranaut, who was scheduled to fly to Delhi on a Vistara flight at 3 pm, pushed the CISF personnel, prompting the security official to slap her.

The female CISF officer, identified as Kulwinder Kaur, was reportedly upset with Ranaut over her remarks on the farmers’ protest.

Ranaut claimed that the altercation took place while she was proceeding to the boarding point for her flight UK707. She stated that Officer Kaur argued with her before allegedly slapping her.

The incident has sparked controversy, with reports suggesting that the officer’s actions were influenced by Ranaut’s comments about the farmers’ protest, where she referred to the protesters as “Khalistanis.”

Further details and official statements from both CISF and Kangana Ranaut are awaited to clarify the situation.
