Man Dies on Escalator at Pune's Civil Court Metro Station
Pune: A 40-year-old man, Manoj Kumar, passed away at the Civil Court Metro station in Pune on Monday evening.
According to Pune Metro officials, Kumar fell on the escalator around 6:30 pm. He received first aid from a doctor stationed at the metro and was then transported to Sancheti Hospital in an ambulance. Despite these efforts, doctors at Sancheti Hospital declared him dead upon arrival.
Doctor from Sancheti Hospital, stated, “We received a call from Pune Metro about an unresponsive patient. A Code Blue was activated immediately as the patient had no heartbeat or pulse.”
The body will be sent to Sassoon General Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death. Metro officials have informed Kumar’s relatives about the incident.
