A man driving a Hyundai I20 was heavily fined Rs 55,000 after performing dangerous stunts on the Noida Expressway. Captured on video and shared on the social media platform X, the driver was seen drifting and making reckless turns, disrupting the busy traffic. Additionally, the car’s windows were tinted dark black, a punishable offense in India.

The Uttar Pradesh Police took swift action upon seeing the video, penalizing the driver for multiple traffic violations. These included driving without insurance, using a faulty number plate, having tinted windows, and rash driving. The combined fines resulted in a substantial Rs 55,000 challan.

This incident underscores the severe risks associated with reckless driving, especially in high-speed zones like the Noida Expressway. Such behavior endangers not only the driver but also other motorists. Police departments across India are increasingly vigilant against such offenses, using camera surveillance and social media monitoring to identify and punish offenders. This heightened scrutiny aims to curb the dangerous trend of performing stunts for social media attention.
