The new terminal at Pune International Airport, set to open in the next 8 to 10 days, promises improved facilities and enhanced security with the addition of 222 CISF personnel.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Muralidhar Mohol announced that the new terminal at Pune International Airport is ready and will be operational in the next 8 to 10 days. “The CISF manpower required for security purposes has been approved. We have sanctioned 222 posts of CISF,” said Mohol.

Also, He added that he recently met with Home Minister Amit Shah, who quickly approved the necessary manpower. “I met the Hon. Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji to request his intervention. He approved the additional 222 CISF personnel needed for this new terminal,” Mohol stated. “We are grateful for his timely help. Thank you on behalf of all Punekars.”

Minister Advises Against Comparing Pune to Punjab

Union Minister Muralidhar Mohol addressed the rising drug-related incidents in Pune. Kasba Assembly Constituency MLA Ravindra Dhangekar criticised the situation, comparing Pune to ‘Udta Punjab’. Without naming Dhangekar, Mohol advised political leaders to avoid comparisons and statements that could harm the city’s reputation. He urged everyone to refrain from making remarks that tarnish Pune’s name. “Please do not compare Pune with Punjab,” Mohol said, speaking to the media in Pune.
