The 61-meter wide road from Dapodi to Nigdi, part of the old Mumbai-Pune road, is undergoing significant changes due to increased urbanization. This transformation aims to enhance public and non-motorized transport options.

The municipal corporation plans to build comprehensive infrastructure to improve public transport. They have already completed work on Route No. 1 up to PCMC station, with plans to extend it to Bhakti-Shakti Chowk in Nigdi.
The corporation has started reconstructing the Dapodi to Nigdi Mumbai-Pune road’s service road and inner expressway. This includes planning new Merge in and Merge out points to facilitate smoother traffic flow.
Citizen suggestions were invited for this planning. Following meetings with transport department officials and citizens, the final plans for Merge in and Merge out points have been established.

The newly planned Merge in and Merge out points are available for viewing on the Municipal Corporation Website and the Smart City Website App. Citizens are encouraged to review these plans and cooperate with the municipal corporation to ensure smooth traffic.
For more information, the plan can be viewed on the Municipal Corporation website (www.pcmcindia.gov.in) and the Smart City website (www.smartpcmc.org).
