Pimpri Chinchwad News: Only Two Days Left To Avail Discount In Property Tax
Cash Counters Open Even on Holidays for Citizens’ Convenience; Public Urged to Pay Taxes
Pimpri: The tax collection department of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has collected over ₹400 crores from more than 350,000 taxpayers taking advantage of various property tax discounts. This includes current year property tax payments and arrears. As per the department’s appeal, citizens have paid ₹285 crores online. With only two days left for property tax discounts, Assistant Commissioner Nilesh Deshmukh has urged citizens to take advantage of these benefits.
Cash Counters Open Even on Holidays:
To ensure citizens can avail property tax discounts, cash counters will remain open on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30, from 9:45 AM to 6:00 PM. Citizens are encouraged not to miss this opportunity.
Available Discounts:
1. **10%** discount for online payments made before June 30.
2. **30%** discount on general tax for properties solely owned by women.
3. **5-10%** discount for environmentally friendly buildings/societies with composting, STP plants, zero waste, rainwater harvesting, and solar energy systems.
4. **5-15%** discount for properties with 3-5 green building ratings.
5. **50%** discount for properties owned by disabled persons.
6. **50%** discount for one residential property of freedom fighters or their spouses.
7. **2%** discount for properties with electric vehicle charging stations.
8. **100%** discount for gallantry award winners and ex-servicemen.
“Citizens should promptly pay their taxes and avail the discounts!” urged Nilesh Deshmukh, Assistant Commissioner, Tax Assessment and Collection Department, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. “Over 350,000 taxpayers have already benefited from the generous discounts announced by the department. For those who haven’t paid yet, only two days remain. Additionally, cash counters are open even on holidays for citizens’ convenience. Pay your taxes immediately and contribute to the city’s development.”
