PMRDA will soon start acquisition of land for inner ring road

Land acquisition for the first phase of the proposed 82-km inner ring road will soon begin, according to the Pune Metropolitan Area Development Authority (PMRDA).

Nearly 19.08 hectares will be purchased from the villages of Nirgudi, Solu, and Wadgaon Shinde to build the first 4. 8 km from Solu to Wadgaon Shinde.

The projected PMRDA inner ring road will be constructed in phases, and the PMRDA has sent the district government a proposal to start the land purchase process.

The projected inner ring road will acquire a total of 589.02 hectares. The land will be purchased directly or in accordance with the Land Acquisition Act.

To address the city’s traffic issues, the PMRDA is initially concentrating on a 37 km portion of the route.

The survey for the first stretch is finished, and once the DPR is completed, agencies will be assigned for carrying out the work, the source continued. April will see the DPR’s completion. the three sections from Nagar Road to the Mumbai Expressway, Nagar Road to Solapur Road, and Solapur Road to Satara Road will be finished within the next three to four years.

The total amount of land obtained for the first 4.8 km will be 34 hectares, of which 7 hectares are government land. It will take 78 hectares of land to complete the 11-kilometer road from Nagar Road to Solapur.
