A portion of the roof at Delhi Airport’s Terminal-1 collapsed amid heavy rain, injuring six people who were subsequently taken to the hospital. Emergency teams are working to assist those trapped in the debris. According to Delhi Fire Services (DFS), the roof fell onto cars, including taxis, early Friday morning.

The collapse included both the roof sheet and the support beams, causing significant damage to vehicles in the pick-up and drop-off area. A search operation is ongoing to ensure no one else remains trapped. One of the injured was rescued from a car struck by an iron beam. Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene around 5:30 am after DFS received an emergency call.
