On Tuesday, June 4, around midnight, the two-wheelers that were parked in front of Ashwini’s residence were set on fire by the accused Bablu. At around three in the morning, a few locals saw a fire in the parking lot and told others. 

A young intoxicated person set fire to seven vehicles parked in a Narhe society’s parking lot. Sinhagad Road Police has arrested the accused identified as Bablu Islam Ansari. As per information, three bikes were fully destroyed, one autorickshaw was partially damaged, and three motorcycles were partially destroyed.

Ansari is a 19-year-old resident of Ashwini Apartments in Chavan Chal, Narhe. Omkar Mahesh Dhanepkar, a 24-year-old resident of Narhe who lives close to Ashwini Apartment, has lodged a complaint at the Sinhagad Road Police Station over this issue. Accused Bablu does not have a job.

Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumbhar of the Sinhagad Road Police Station visited the location with a team after learning about this. Based on the CCTV footage, the police began looking for the accused. The accused admitted to torching the vehicles. 

Sub Inspector of Police Asmita Lad is further investigating the case.
