Pune: 8 unauthorized constructions demolished in Koregaon Park By PMC
Multiple illegal structures in the Koregaon Park Sangamwadi TP Scheme Plot no. 405 were demolished by the Construction Development Dept Zone no. 4 on Wednesday. The notice was sent to them on 31st Dec 2020. However, they got a stay order from the court and continued to develop several illegal structures. The corporation received complaints from citizens. After consulting with the legal department, the builders were given notice and action was taken.
As per the information, the structures were illegally built and lacked fire safety measures and parking facilities, causing traffic congestion, especially on public holidays. The locals contacted the higher police officials but due to legal issues, the action was delayed but later completed.
Many officials from the police and MSF Jawans were assigned to this matter. Modernized tools were used to demolish the unauthorized structures.
