Pune: D-mart on Lohegaon-Wagholi Road issued notice for lack of parking facility

The D-mart located on Lohegaon-Wagholi Road has been issued a notice by the Lonikand Traffic Department for not providing a proper parking facility for customers as the current scenario is causing major traffic congestion.

Pune- Recently, the D-mart which is located on Lohegaon-Wagholi Road has been issued a notice from the Assistant Police Inspector of Lonikand Traffic Department for not providing adequate parking space for the huge number of customers visiting on a daily basis. As there is no space allocated for parking vehicles, the customers end up parking close to the road which causes traffic jams quite frequently.

As the citizens are suffering immensely due to this issue, Assistant PI Gajanan Jadhav, Head of Lonikand Traffic Department, took charge and issued a notice to the managers of Dmart to ensure proper parking facility is arranged for the customers’ vehicles, otherwise shift them to another open space. It has been mentioned in the notice that the Lohegaon-Wagholi Road has been heavily urbanized therefore, the vehicles of customers arriving for shopping are awkwardly parked in the already narrow space on the road, leading to severe traffic congestion.

As everyone in the vicinity is suffering due to irregular parking on the road, the establishment should take sufficient measures not to cause such inconvenience to the citizens. Vice versa, the citizens should also have a civic sense to take appropriate action if they are suffering.
