With the onset of the monsoon season, many tourists visit to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sinhagad fort, dam areas and other surrounding areas offer. Last weekend, there was an unprecedented traffic jam due to overcrowding. After this, the vehicles will be released in a phased manner by the Forest Department and Forest Protection Committee and today marked the first day of this experiment.

Planning has been going on for the last four days through the forest committee to avoid traffic congestion in Sinhagad Ghat. A phase-out experiment will be carried out. For this, citizens, tourist vehicle drivers, passenger jeep drivers, and hotel owners should follow the instructions of the forest committee’s security guard said Deepak Sankpal, Forest Range Officer, Bhamburda.

The fort’s capacity has been increased by broadening the vehicle platform, laid stripes at various places, lifting the garbage from ghats, widening the road from Kondhanpur Phata to vehicle Parking area reducing traffic congestion, enabling Walkie Talkies, providing security instructions, strict warning to employees to adhere to the instructions, meeting with the owners of the hotel, alloting separate parking for hotel owners and guests and appealed to jeep drivers to follow the instructions of security guards.
