Pune: Heartfelt Welcome To 525 Warkaris At Punyadham Ashram
Pune’s Punyadham Ashram had the privilege of hosting Dindi Number 9 of Warkari Sampradaya, administered by Shri Vasant Chavan (Dharolkar). More than 525 devotees of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj had come to the Ashram on 30th June evening and left early morning on 2nd July for Pandharpur. A grand divine welcome ceremony was held at Punyadham with the noble initiative of Bharat Dharmavat and his family.
After the dinner and a good night’s sleep on Sunday, they started the next day with prayers in Shree Siddheshwar Mandir & Shree Sai Mandir in the ashram itself. After a sumptuous breakfast they all settled for kirtan (prayers) followed by Prasadam.
Beloved Maa Krishna Kashyap, Sadananda Shetty and Bharat Dharmavat family felicitated the founder members of the Dindi and expressed their happiness for having the honour of hosting them.
Maa along with Sadananda Shetty, Ganesh Kamthe, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Maj. Gen. B.N Rao, Vithal Maniyar, Amrut Purandare, Pankaj Dhediya, Deshmukh, Vasant Kamthe & Bharat Dharmavat’s family, and others generously gifted sarees to the women devotees, while uparna & towels were gifted to the male devotees. Laddoos & Chiwda packets were also distributed to all the sacred palki bearers. After the celebration they performed Bhajan – Kirtan & Abhangas followed by ‘Prasadam. The whole atmosphere was pious & soothing to the soul.
On 2nd July, early morning they started their long arduous journey by foot, towards their destination – Pandharpur, continuously chanting, “JAI JAI VITHAL… JAI JAI HARI”!
