Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, the Municipal Commissioner of Pune, has taken a stern stance against employees frequently absent during duty hours or leaving work early. Dr. Bhosale has issued orders for disciplinary action against those not adhering to their designated office hours.

Many officers and employees of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) have been failing to maintain their duty schedules. The official working hours are from 9:45 AM to 6:15 PM, with a designated lunch break from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Despite this, many employees extend their lunch break or frequently move in and out of the office during work hours.

This irregularity has caused significant inconvenience to citizens who visit the Municipal Corporation for various services. They often find that the required officers and employees are unavailable. This issue has prompted Dr. Bhosale to take strict measures.
Dr. Bhosale has directed all department heads to closely monitor the attendance and punctuality of their staff. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring employees are present during office hours. This measure aims to serve the public effectively and enhance the efficiency of the Municipal Corporation.

The Commissioner’s directive seeks to improve the overall experience for citizens seeking assistance from the PMC. By ensuring that employees adhere to their duty schedules, the Municipal Corporation hopes to provide better service to the public and streamline its operations. Moreover, Dr. Bhosale’s firm action is a step towards improving accountability and efficiency within the PMC.
