The first Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round will give admissions to 39,000 Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad students to first-year junior college (FYJC, Std XI). The CAP committee will allocate seats for science, arts, and commerce streams, with over 400 colleges participating.

The window given by the online admission process committee for students to post grievances regarding the provisional merit list for first-year junior college admissions ended on June 21. Students can confirm their admissions based on the announced list between June 27 and July 1, according to Jyoti Parihar, joint deputy director of education, Pune division.

Students who have been allotted seats should confirm their admissions with all necessary documents between June 17 and July 1. Students who missed filling out Part I of the form should start on Thursday when the admission portal reopens.

Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad have a total intake of 1,20,265 students for FYJC, with nearly 39,000 allotments announced in the first round, primarily for the science stream. Of these, 21,840 are for first-preference colleges.
