PCMC- In a shocking incident, on Thursday July 4 at around 3:45 pm, 70 students of Lokseva English Medium School and Junior College had a close shave as the driver of the school bus lost control near Dabhade Chowk, Pimpri Chinchwad.

As per information, the bus lost control and landed onto one of the iron railings of the bridge over Indrayani River and almost remained suspended.

The community members quickly managed to rescue the 70 students by breaking the glass of the windows. Community heroes include Tushar Dabhade, Sushil Nigde, Vishnu Tapkir, Sanket Tapkir, Sagar Dabhade, Suraj Dabhade, Omkar Bhujbal, and Sunil Gawde.

Consequently, on the  Alandi-Markal route, traffic jams were another issue that irritated the vehicle owners passing from that route after the accident.

It was great fortune that the quick-thinking locals saved so many lives. The complications were averted before they reached their peaks, as reported by the local police authorities. They have also reported that the bus was removed with the help of a crane and a further investigation is going on.
