Pune News: PMPML Bus Service Extended To Tanishk Park and Pride World City In Charholi

Charholi village in the Bhosari assembly constituency is experiencing significant development. Urbanization has extended to the Tanishk Park Society and Pride World City, which are poised to become the ‘entry point’ of Pimpri-Chinchwad in the future. Consequently, PMP bus service will soon commence in this area. BJP MLA Mahesh Landge has initiated efforts to expedite this project.

A meeting was convened to discuss the provision of public passenger transport facilities in and around Charholi. Present at the meeting were PMPMML Transport Manager Satish Gavane and all Depot Managers. A field visit was conducted immediately after the meeting. Social activists Sachin Tapkir, PMPL’s Vijaykumar Madge, Bhaskar Dahatonde, MLA Landge’s personal assistant Aniket Gaikwad, and Sandesh Badiger were also present.

Women, students, and the working class from Tanishk Park Society and Pride World City Society in Charholi travel extensively to Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. However, the current lack of bus facilities in this area is causing inconvenience for passengers. Additionally, this area is expected to become a key gateway to the city. Therefore, the creation of public passenger transport facilities here is essential.

MLA Mahesh Landge stated that since 2017, development work has been initiated in the villages included in the Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal limits. The Chikhli-Moshi-Charholi residential corridor has emerged due to the construction of infrastructure facilities and various ambitious projects, leading to a population increase. Hence, it is essential to provide public passenger transport facilities.

Transport Manager of PMPML, Satish Gavane, mentioned that following MLA Mahesh Landge’s suggestion, a route survey will be conducted to enhance bus services on the Dighi-Alandi, Chakan Fata-Moshi toll road, Dehu-Alandi, and Chikhali Road routes. Additionally, two routes, Pride Society and Tanishk Park, will be inspected through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Project in the Charholi area, and bus services will be implemented accordingly. Urbanization is on the rise in the Charholi area, and MLA Landge has recommended increasing bus facilities.

“The administration has been instructed to construct a new PMPML bus facility at Pride World City through Tanishk Park Society and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Project in the Charholi area. Based on citizen demand, the PMPML bus facility will be introduced in this area. We will continue to follow up on this. Additionally, we will take initiatives to make strategic decisions to increase the frequency of PMP buses, considering the growing population of the included villages, said Mahesh Landge, MLA, Bhosari Assembly, BJP, Pimpri-Chinchwad.
