Pune News : Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar, PMC jointly hold initiative to remove nails from trees

Tree saving and environmental awareness drive was conducted by Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar and Green Life Foundation. 35 residents of the area alongwith the sky sign department officials from Vadgaon Sheri Ward office of Pune Municipal Corporation came together to free trees from nails and illegal banners in Kalyani Nagar. On 19 February 2023 morning TSKN and GLF took to the streets and removed all the banners, posters, which were nailed on trees. Illegal banners placed on street light poles, walls and MSEDCL boxes were also removed. The activity was carried out in the Central Avenue area in Kalyani Nagar.

Aruna Suratkal, member of Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar said, “Over 30 flex were removed from street light poles, trees and other areas. More than 90 plus posters nailed on trees were removed. There were big banners also which were requested to the sky sign department to remove and also take action against illegal flex, posters and fine the organisations for defacing the city.”
