The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a notice to remove unauthorized hoardings, cables, stalls, and other encroachments by June 30. Non-compliance will result in strict action against violators.

Pune- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a warning regarding unauthorized hoardings, cables, stalls, and other encroachments between Khed Shivapur toll naka and Dehu Road on National Highway 48. If these illegal establishments are not removed by June 30, Strict action will be taken against the individuals responsible under the Disaster Management Act 2005.

The district administration, local administration, and citizens are expected to remove their hoardings, cables, stalls, and other encroachments at their own expense. If they fail to do so, the NHAI will evict the encroachments under the Control of National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act 2002, and the costs and penalties will be recovered from the encroachment holders.

The NHAI has made it clear that it will not be responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused during the removal of these encroachments after the specified deadline of June 30, 2024.
