Pune, June 28, 2024: In a major crackdown, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today evening demolished a total of 64,545 square feet of illegal constructions.

The affected establishments include Mohammadwadi Bar and Bakery, Garlic Hotel, Highland Bar, Mountain High, Hotel Tattva, Fusion Dhaba in Undri, Sunrise Cafe in Undri, and Cult Bar in Kad Wasti, Hadapsar and many other areas.

This demolition drive is part of an ongoing effort across the city following a drug-related incident at L3 Lounge on FC Road. The incident shed light on widespread irregularities and unauthorized constructions among various entities. The PMC’s action aims to address these violations and ensure compliance with municipal regulations.

The crackdown underscores the city’s commitment to maintaining law and order, especially in the wake of events that reveal significant breaches in regulatory compliance.
