Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated a road widening project in Gangadham area after a recent dumper accident. The decision aims to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow in the locality. According to PMC commissioner Rajendra Bhosale, the project involves expanding the existing roads to accommodate increased traffic and ensure smoother commuting for residents.
The specific stretch identified for widening spans from Gangadham Chowk to Shatrunjay Temple. Currently, the road from Gokul Hotel to Ganesh Sadan measures 6 meters wide and will be expanded to a 12-meter lane under this initiative.
Bhosale emphasized community involvement in the planning process, stating, “Residents are encouraged to review the detailed plan and map of the road project, which are available for viewing at room number 302 in the PMC headquarters. Their valuable suggestions and feedback will be taken into consideration.”
